The Blue Flag flies high in Polignano a Mare

For the third year in a row, Polignano a Mare has been awarded the “Blue Flag of Italy”. The Blue Flag is a title awarded by the Foundation for Environmental Education, to those European coastal towns which exceed the criteria for bathing waters and relative tourist services, taking into consideration for example beach cleanliness and tourist docks.

The beauty of the Polignano a Mare sea has thus been officially recognised: it is one of only five Apulian cities and 104 Italian cities to be awarded the Blue Flag, a reflection not only of the cleanliness of its waters, but also of the quality of its tourist services.

Once again, Polignano a Mare stands out amongst the crowd, ranking among the top 10 Italian cities listed. Polignano a Mare savours its well earned flag, eagerly welcoming its tourists with an extra touch of pride thanks to the beauty of its coast and clear blue waters.
