Excursion: Ostuni 

Ostuni, a city emerging in thick olive territory, known as the “white city” thanks to the colour of its houses which splendor due to the white of the limestone. As with the majority of these small towns, it is closed in by walls and cylindrical towers of medieval origins; narrow streets, steep steps and arches will lead you to the town’s Cattedrale constructed at the end of the 15th century.

Degustation: Visit to a Masseria, with a degustation of extra virgin olive oil.

Excursion: Locorotondo - Martina Franca 

Locorotondo, a splendid village with a circular design, with houses with sloping roofs, but above all the city of wine.

Martina Franca, a luxurious baroque city, rich with noble buildings and charming monuments.

Degustation: local wine in the renowned Cantina Sociale of Locorotondo.

Excursion: Lecce e Otranto

Lecce, the Roman city of Licea, today defined as the Florence of the South, is a city of simple and refined charm. A relaxing walk through the rich and suggestive historical town centre, scattered with façades and entrances, will pleasantly surprise every visitor. The church of Rosario, of S. Giovanni Battista and S. Croce are simply magnificent, as is the monumental entrance to piazza Duomo, the ex convent of the Celestines, etc. We suggest a visit to the artisan shops of the historical town centre for a spot of shopping.

Otranto, visit to the historical town centre, rich with Byzantine influence. Famous Cattedrale with over 1100m2 of mosaic flooring, representing the tree of life, and the history of the world. We recommend a relaxing walk along the charming port.

Degustation: visit to the prestigious Palazzo Storico in the heart of Lecce, with a light lunch served in the suggestive baroque courtyards, where it will appear as though time has stopped.

Excursion: Matera - Altamura

Sassi di Matera, Situated by a ravine created by the erosion of a torrent, emerges Matera, the “city of stone”. The city represents the most emblematic example of a troglodytic city, where humans used to live in the natural caves. Matera boasts a significant collection of chronologically ancient archaeological material: Prehistoric, Roman, Medieval and Baroque.

Altamura, known as the “Lioness of Puglia”, is a proud and rebellious city, beautiful and noble thanks to its history and culture which is illustrated by its past. The presence of Man in Altamura is ancient, illustrated by the remains of Man in the caves of Lamalunga, dating back approximately 400,000 years, and by the numerous findings from archaeological digs in the area.  A visit to the splendid Cattedrale is not to be missed.

Degustation: Visit to the characteristic bakery of Altamura, with a bread degustation.
